Te Aria Beach

This place was beautiful, and right after saying, "I think this could be one of the coolest beaches ever." DJ pretty much broke his shoulder... A disastrously big wave came in as we were body surfing and pounded both of us like we were in a washing machine. Kathy came out OK, but DJ got pounded into the sand right on his right shoulder. Remi's diagnosis says that DJ has some partially torn rotator cuff tendons. DJ still has full range of motion but going above horizontal is not very comfortable... hopefully not more than a couple months of recovery.

This cove was much safer for swimming the next day.

Sticky shells came all the way home with us after a swim here.

  2. oh man, that sucks. I hope DJ recovers quickly. I have been slammed extremely hard into a very coarse sand beach. Ouch!. You are standing there and then it comes and rips your feet our from under you, tosses you around and around allowing no opportunity to breath, and then slams you straight onto the beach. The first time that happened to me the worst part was that my bathingsuit was totally full of coarse sand, and made it hang down in a very unbecoming way. the second time I lost my bikini top completely. Now I'm a lot more careful when there is a rip current!

  3. Wow, Looks amazing. The horse story is wonderful, Zack liked it very much. He is a butt/fart man all the way. Elliott was not amused. Sorry to hear about DJ's shoulder, that really sucks. I think it will heel on it's own though. It will take some time, probably should work less or not do certain jobs. Love the blog, will check in soon. Gin
