Mosaics

One thing that they do A LOT of here is make Mosaics... pillars, walkways, steps, floors, walls..etc. Kathy has enjoyed this. It's kind of like working on a puzzle, only you get to cut the pieces!

Here are some...



This one is in progress... a HUGE skink in the tiled floor of the main downstairs area in the castle.




A tree on the floor of the kitchen.




Kathy's turn to do some! She is working on the base of one of the pillars to the carport here. The design is of waves (see better picture below), she's working on the rest of the water to complete the mosaic.


Done! Now it just needs grouting.




We didn't get to work on tiling/making mosaics on these stairs and walkway... but we did the grouting! You might be able to tell that the bottom is still a work in progress, it just keeps going and goes almost completely around the castle.

    these are so amazing. breathtaking! I'm almost speachless. Is everything in New Zealand simply amazing? Is seems like it! I want skink mosaic! Blaine is inspired!
